In Current News...

Transformers 3 is filming outside of my office today on Michigan Avenue. It has bee way too distracting for my simple mind, as Shia and whats-her-name keep running around downstairs.

Ah, Scoot Scoot

In a decision that was on our minds for a while, Jonathan and I have decided to sell my car and buy a scooter. We figured out that we could even buy the scooter before we sold the car, so last weeked we did just that!
Pictures of our real scooter are coming soon, but this is an image of the same type:

Ours is blue, but the pink picture shows the model better.
We have already ventured around Oak Park with it and I am already plotting different excuses to ride it around!
Jonathan already has a car, and with living in a city that makes it expensive to own one, we decided it would just be better to minimize. Another adventure has been learning to drive manual, as that was something I didn't know how to do.
Even though I don't have pictures to share of our actual scooter, I went trolling around Etsy and found some awesome scooter gear that might be great Christmas/Birthday/Because You Love Me gifts!

An Open Letter to Lindsay Lohan

If you haven’t heard yet, Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in an in-patient rehab center for violating her probation and failing to complete routine drug tests. As a few of you might know, I have been a fan of her, mainly fueled by people’s reactions to how outrageous it is that I would like her in the first place.

I think what has always kept me aware of her though, is that we are very close in age and it is interesting to me what people my age choose to do with their lives and especially what they do when they acquire wealth at such a young age. So, instead of writing her a letter in jail, as I half-jokingly said to Jonathan last night, I am going to keep it here on this blog:

Dearest Lindsay,

Crack is whack.

Sincerely,
Heather

P.S. No more stripper/porn star movie roles, leave it to the imagination.
